ARTIST BIO

 

Ghulam Sakhi Hazara is a gifted, self-taught artist arrived in Australia in 1999 as a refugee by boat.

 

Sakhi has been drawing since his childhood, he started using oil, Acrylic, Pastel, charcoal in 2000 while he was in Port headland detention center in Austalia. He has been exhibiting his art since 2001 in a number of art galleries and public spaces in Australia and Pakistan,

He has won national and international art prizes .

Sakhi has been using many different mediums creating art but he loves using oil paint. He is also  an airbrush artist.

Sakhi has worked with Warner Brothers Movies at "Movie world" gold coast, Qld, as an illustrator & Graphic artist in 2003.
